Was a card rack early, then just raised whenever I could. Jacks finally succumbed to Kings. Had fun, drunk now.

SCOOP tickets

This is strange. I only did a couple parts of the 5 part competition, but they not only awarded me the $22 scoop ticket for completing the challenge, they also gave me a $109 ticket for doing "such a good job."

Strange, but I'll take em, I love free money.

So, now I have these 2 tickets in addition to the $33 ticket I won in the 8-game freeroll. SCOOP, here I come.

I really wanted to play the 8-game, but it starts at 11am my time on a Thursday. So unless I want to take a vacation day.......

I'm here playing the mookie. Got some good cards early to go up a little, now back below starting. Here I am at first break.

What I'm really concerned about is the store was out of my staple (must have bought em out) so I had to purchase this. We'll see how it affects my play, this is virgin territory.

Hey, re-raised a raise and a call w/ AQo, suprisingly they both folded. Still not back to starting, but close.

Yay, finally doubled up w/ JJ vs AQ. Amazing it held. Had my 'gg' typed in but didn't have to press enter. 4620 now.

Trying to cut down on smokes so I put them in the kitchen instead of by the 'puter. All I do is have to get up more.

I have about 1/10 of 1st. But 1/3 of 2nd. What's up w/ that lucko.

Poker from the Rail Tourney

Ran pretty good/lucky in the first Poker from the rail tourney and came away with 3rd. No TOC seat, but enough cash to pay for the rest of the BBT5. So I got going for me, which is nice.

I was pretty intimidated by my starting table which had twoblackaces, Loretta and a few others.

Things started out pretty slow, was down to just under 2K. Early position min-raised (uh oh) and small blind called so I called from the big blind as well w/ Qd7d. Flop was 77Q. Can you say bingo. Anyway all three of us got it all in. I was up against AA and A7. Wallah ! a triple up to over 6K and I could start playing some poker.

From there I can't remember any big hands, I just chipped up at about the same rate as the average stack increased.

I ran into a major snag as we approached the final table, I ran out of Busch Light. I believe that may have cost me the ToC seat. At the final table I should have gone out about 6th but my AJ > JJ and I improved a couple more spots before bowing out.

I out-lucked 7 brave runners this evening in the Pokerslut Stud H/L. As Gadzooks pointed out, I should go buy a lotto ticket tonight. I suck at Stud but tonight I got lucky, then lucky somemore, then I got lucky, and so on....
